Noah & The Whale - I Have Nothing

Slow-mo singing Experiment.

Original video was shot at 60fps and slowed down to 40% to get 24fps. In order to get timing matched song was sung at 2.5 times the normal speed during filming. Got to love reciprocals.

Beach House - Childhood

After watching some the great work from the French New Wave director Jean-Luc Godard and listening to Beach House's first album, I was inspired to blend the great melodic tunes of Beach House with a slight French New Wave style visual. Above is my result: a good friend of mine, Lucy, wondering (and spinning) around the city of Indianapolis.

My friend from Enlgand flew all the way over to the US for her birthday.  I wanted to capture one of the weekends celebrating on her stay.  My first attempt with split screen... just my friends and I hanging out. 

The Calumet Reel on Film IN Music

The Calumet Reel from Bloomington, IN band blew me away with their harmonies.  I still cannot stop listening to this band.  Check them out on Film IN Music.

Young The Giant - Guns Out

Ryan Thrower and I drove up to Chicago to catch Young The Giant (formally "The Jakes"). We brought some cameras and caught Guns Out, their great final track off their new album. Great live performers and wonderful guys. Check them out.

Moustache Au Revoir

My best friend/roommate shaved off his famous handle bar moustache after his Packers won the Superbowl. It was a necessity to get this on film, and with a little shout out to one of our favorite directors.

Maps & Atlases on LaundroMatinee

I have started filming for My Old Kentucky Blog's LaundroMatinee sessions where we record and film bands live in the studio.  I was honored to film a session with Maps & Atlases at Lovebird Recording since I used their great song, Pigeon, for a short staring my sister.

Maps & Atlases - The Ongoing Horrible (Live at Radio Radio)

Maps & Atlases played a special acoustic performance for their encore right in the middle of the crowd. I was able to catch "The Ongoing Horrible" in which David does some amazing slapping on the acoustic which gives off a a brilliant sound.

Dreamers of the Ghetto - Tether

Dreamers of the Ghetto, a new band from Bloomington, IN played at Radio Radio last Thursday. I was able to catch their great show and film some too. Here is "Tether" their epic first track off their new album which you can get here.
