Langhorne Slim - Cinderella
A friend of mine luckily convinced me to check out the Langhorne Slim show at Radio Radio in Indianapolis. I brought my camera so I could get a video for My Old Kentucky Blog, who hosted the show. I attempted to capture some of Slim's high energy while on stage, so here it is.

The National - Conversation 16
One of my best friends and I wrote a very literal interpretation of The National's Conversation 16. It was filmed in just two (very cold) nights, thanks to everyone involved who was a big help in getting this thing out.

The Soft Pack - More Or Less
Filmed at the White Rabbit in Fountain Square, Indianapolis, IN.
Check it out at My Old Kentucky Blog, who put on the show.
No Age - Fever Dreaming
My friends birthday is on Halloween, and I wanted to write her a video for her gift. I decided to do it in slow motion as a one shot and use No Age's "Fever Dreaming". Enjoy. And Happy Birthday Miss Zina.

The Walkmen - Juveniles
I brought my new Canon 7D and 50mm 1.4 with me to The Walkmen show in Indianapolis at the Vogue. I was able to get some shots during the great performance. I love the opening track off their new album (Lisbon) so I decided to shoot the entire song and match it up with the studio version. Here is the result. Enjoy.

Sarah & Mike's Wedding
Here is the intro to a wedding I filmed in the summer of 2010 in Indianapolis, IN. I have filmed many weddings in the past, but this was my first SLR shot wedding. I was very happy with the end product, hope you enjoy.

Girls' Pint Out - Pints & Pedis
I helped a friend of mine, Dusty Frey, film a very cool event in Indianapolis, Indiana: Girls Pint Out. GPO is a group of girls that love craft beer and hold events all over Indianapolis. Pints and Pedi's was an event that allowed the girls to enjoy amazing local craft beer while getting manicures and pedicures. I was lucky enough to get to film, and try some delicious local beer at the same time.

The Proudest Thing I'd Ever Seen
While listening to "Pigeon" by Maps & Atlases, I thought of a video with two characters expressing their thoughts through cards they are holding. I instantly thought of my sister and her boyfriend. With inspiration from their relationship journey, I wrote a short story for them. They both did a great job. Enjoy!

O'Sullivan's Low Light Test
On a random Wednesday my two friends and I went to a favorite bar of mine: O'Sullivan's in Fort Wayne, IN. I decided to bring the 85 mm lens and do a low light test with the 5D for future shoots.

Semit Ekal
I went back to my middle school days with this video. I used to always film my friends and I doing goofy things backwards. So I wanted to do something in reverse, but have the main character moving forward. So I got my buddy Kyle to walk backwards through a chain of events that we set up. I cannot believe we got this in one take. I guess I can blame my awesome friends for that. The song is "Good Time" by the Brazilian Girls.
The 201 Trade Off
Filmed on trip visiting some friends in Bloomington, IN. This was a a fun collaboration with everyone involved, which always makes for a better film. I used The Soft Pack's "Pull Out" from their self titled album, which is one of my favorites from 2010.

F.L.H. 2010 Ad
Spending times at my friend's lake are always the highlights of summer. This is a fun advertisement I made for our lake fest. Short but sweet. Song is by a band Kisses, they are starting to go somewhere and I am very excited about it.

The Champagne of Beers
I love doing films with everyone involved so we thought of this idea one night at my friend's birthday gathering (the last one in the film). I gave everyone a partner and we scattered throughout the house. I just followed the roaming beer, and the great part was most of the time I didn't know where people were or what they were going to do. It was a fun on the fly video. Thank God for the beer/camera placement for the shower scene. Enjoy.

RTD2 - Garands at Normandie
I wanted to do a live filming/recording of a musician performing unplugged. So I recorded and filmed my bud in downtown Fort Wayne, IN. I just used GarageBand on my computer and my Blue Yeti Mic for the recording. I then mixed the recording with the audio from the 5D Mark II I was filming with. It peaks a little, but like all these videos its a learning process. Here was my recording set up...
Whatcha' Cooking?
A dark comedy short coming from the mind of my friend Sam and a little from myself. I made it look like an old silent film using an old Miles Davis song "Jeru". I love the end scene most of all. Enjoy and don't do drugs.

of Montreal Music Video
Here is a music video I thought of one day while driving to this song. I pitched the idea to my buddy, Jordan (the actor) and he love it. So one day while up at his lake I packed my equipment and we shot it. Filmed it in about 7 hours, and he was great to work with. My friend Ryan was there to help assist direct. He drove the car/boat for the bike shots and gave me some great ideas for angles. So here it is, 5 days after filming.

Whatcha' Cooking Trailer
Here is the trailer for the short film my three friends and I made during a rainy day at the lake. Get hyped.
Les Deux Douches
Two friends showed up late to the grad party so they missed the green chair (earlier post). I told them, if they came up with an idea I would set it up and film. We came up with this little video. First little test with different views and angles of same shot.
The Green Chair
The summer has started and I want this to be a productive video summer for me. After showing up to a graduation party I saw a wonderful green chair. I wanted to do something simple but with everyone involved. So we set up the shot with bunny, broom, and chair. I just asked everyone to walk in and sit. Turned out alright after I doubled the speed.
